Richmond I am always left so stimulated after reading your blogs. These are such exciting times in terms of the recognition of neuroscience as an important aspect in pain management and for the patient to have acess to information which will promote a better understanding of their own body and mind. I am a therapeutic counsellor and very interested in Art Therapy which I intend to persue. In this area too the connections are being made accessible. I recommend 'Art Therapy and Clinical Neuroscience' edited by Noah Hass-Cohen and Richard Carr. Hopefully this will all be tied up eventually into a holistic package to help those in pain and/or with mental health challenges.
Great blog thank you. Sunny

Excellent blog. It's great to hear other people recognising what clinicians should be considering when confronted with patients in pain. I think Heath care professionals actually makepeople worse by not considering these points and frightening them.
